We started our drop-in childcare service because we kept meeting parents at the end of a long travel day — tired, a little guilty, a little frustrated — who had spent the whole trip negotiating between what they wanted to see and what their children could handle. That tradeoff shouldn't be the price of bringing your family to Japan.

What we actually do

We provide licensed, drop-in childcare in Kyoto — designed from the ground up for visiting families. While you explore, your children are with us: learning, playing, and having experiences of their own that they'll still talk about years from now.

We intentionally bring local Japanese children into our sessions. Your child might spend an afternoon folding origami with a kid from the neighborhood, sharing snacks, fumbling through a language barrier, and laughing anyway. Childcare for tourists is not yet widely available in Kyoto. We know that. Most services here aren't set up for short-term, drop-in needs from international families — different language, unfamiliar paperwork, no existing relationship with the provider. We designed our intake process to be straightforward for visiting families: available in English, no long-term registration required, and with a genuine person you can speak to before you commit.
